Hollidaysburg Borough Council voted to adopt the 2026 budget and approved an ordinance establishing tax millage rates for tax year 2026. A council member noted the budget had been discussed at two public meetings that explained the reasons for revenue increases and spending priorities.

On a motion to adopt Motion 2026‑1, the council carried the budget on a voice vote. The council then approved Ordinance 9‑19 establishing the proposed millage rates: real estate 2.6 mills, fire protection 0.16 mills, parks and recreation 0.78 mills, and street lights 0.16 mills (total 3.7 mills). The ordinance was adopted by roll call vote.

Council also approved Resolution 2025‑33 to collect Act 511 taxes as part of routine tax administration. Several members said the budget process included public meetings to inform residents of the proposed increases and allocations. The council did not provide a full line‑item discussion in the meeting but confirmed the budget passed and the millage ordinance will be posted with statutory notice requirements.
