Mayor Chaddie Repco read a proclamation honoring Chief Christopher L. Storm’s career, noting his service in the Pennsylvania State Police and leadership of the Hollidaysburg Police Department since his return in 2022. The proclamation named Dec. 12, 2025 as "Christopher L. Storm Day" in the borough and thanked him for his service.
At the meeting council formally accepted Chief Storm’s resignation effective Jan. 2, 2026. Following that vote, the council appointed Sergeant Richard Oldham as acting chief of police effective Jan. 3, 2026. The motions were moved and seconded and carried by voice votes.
Speakers during public comment and council remarks offered tributes and best wishes. Anne Andrews, Sean Lading, Elder Booth and others thanked the chief for his service and wished him a happy retirement. "Chief did it, and he did it masterfully," Mayor Repco said during the proclamation reading. The council said it will proceed with the personnel transition per the appointments made at the meeting.
