Hollidaysburg Borough Council approved the borough manager’s 2026–2027 employment contract and took several personnel actions to prepare for staffing transitions.
Council voted to extend the borough manager’s contract through 2027. The meeting then accepted the resignation of borough secretary Patricia Duran, who has served the borough since 1998 and was promoted through the ranks to borough secretary; council members and residents offered tributes to Duran’s long service. Council appointed Sarah Williams to succeed Duran as borough secretary; Williams’ start date was recorded in the meeting as Dec. 3, 2025, and council also appointed her as the borough’s open‑records officer.
Separately, council appointed Troy Rudy to the planning commission after receiving his letter of interest. All motions related to hiring, resignation acceptance and appointments were moved, seconded and approved during the meeting.
