John Coleman, director of planning, community and economic development, told the commission Dec. 10 that the public comment period on draft amendments to the comprehensive plan and development regulations remains open through Dec. 11 and that the City Council will consider the staff package at its Dec. 15 meeting. Coleman said the Planning Commission’s multi-year work on the comprehensive plan and development regulations may see final action at council in mid-December.

Coleman also announced two commissioners will end their terms: Commissioner Stoneman has completed his term and Commissioner Currier will leave to be sworn in as a city council member after winning election. Coleman invited residents to apply for open planning commission positions and noted the city had an advertised recruitment process.
