The Marion County Board of Commissioners approved the consent calendar on Dec. 10, which included officer appointments, vendor invoices, incoming funds for specialty courts and contract amendments for county services.
Commissioner Kevin Cameron moved to approve the consent calendar; the chair seconded and the motion passed on a voice vote.
Key consent items the board approved included: appointing Colm Willis as chair, Kevin Cameron as vice chair and Danielle Bethel as second vice chair for the 2026 leadership term; authorizing a $103,956.43 invoice to Canon Cochran Management Services Inc for services to the county’s self‑insured workers’ compensation program for Nov. 2025; and approving incoming funds agreements with the Oregon Criminal Justice Commission for Marion County specialty courts, including the Adult Drug Court ($409,325), Family Treatment Court ($202,678), Juvenile Treatment Court ($181,647), Mental Health Court ($277,563) and Veterans Treatment Court ($149,946).
The board also approved amendments to county service contracts, including an increase to Passport to Languages Inc of $55,000 for interpretation and translation services (new not‑to‑exceed total $130,000 through 12/31/2026) and an amendment adding funds to the contract with John Mitchell Scholar Schoeller to continue psychiatric mental‑health nurse practitioner services (amendment amount and new totals recorded in agenda). The board scheduled final consideration for two administrative ordinances on Dec. 17, 2025: zone change case no. 25‑002 (Creative Electric LLC) and conditional use/comprehensive plan change case no. 24‑38 (TLM Holdings LLC).
Votes on the consent items were taken by voice; the chair and Commissioner Kevin Cameron recorded their approval.
