The Yamhill County Board of Commissioners approved a slate of motions and agreements on Dec. 4, voting unanimously on a range of grants, contracts and land-use items.
Key approvals included authorization to submit a joint application (on behalf of the sheriff, district attorney and Health & Human Services) for phase 2 Behavioral Health Deflection (BHD) funding of up to $930,954 retroactive to July 1, 2025, through Aug. 31, 2027; acceptance of an additional $30,001 for the jail-based medications for opioid use disorder (JM-OUD) program for a revised total of $255,958 through Aug. 30, 2027; and an intent-to-award construction contract to Bent LLC for the North Hill Road bridge/maintenance project in the amount of $176,675.
The board also approved a VOCA noncompetitive grant agreement for the District Attorney’s crime victim assistance division totaling $248,282 (retroactive to Oct. 1, 2025–Sept. 30, 2026), a CAMI child-abuse multidisciplinary intervention grant of $394,931.88 (retroactive to July 1, 2025–June 30, 2027), and an amendment to the intergovernmental agreement with the Oregon Youth Authority reducing general liability coverage from $5,000,000 to $1,000,000 (retroactive to July 1, 2025–June 30, 2027). The Yamhill County Transit Area contract with TAC Transportation Inc. (Pacific Crest Bus Lines) for weekday service between McMinnville and Junction City was approved for up to $265,000 through June 30, 2026.
A planning docket on remand approving a 14-lot subdivision for John Abrams (PAZ01-24/SD-03-24) and a conditional-use approval for a loss-mitigation home-occupation (docket C125) were both approved following staff presentations and board votes. The board took no roll-call dissent; all motions passed unanimously. The approvals were routine on the consent and regular agendas and commissioners thanked staff and outside partners during the meeting.
