The Iberia Parish Council on Nov. 19 moved to delete three parish-president recommendations concerning Bagwell Energy Services Inc. and industrial tax-exemption contracts.

Clerk read options for action (reduce term, reduce percentage, terminate the exemption, defer or take no action) and the amounts tied to separate contract entries: $734,587.05 (contract 20180323-ITE), $970,091 (contract variant AD-ITE), and $1,186,843 (contract variant BD-ITE). Councilman Goshasan said the items had already been deleted in committee; Councilman Michael Landry seconded, and the motions to delete carried.

Council members did not proceed to a recommendation to the state Board of Commerce and Industry and removed the items from the agenda. The transcript records motions to delete and that the items were deleted as handled in committee.
