Robin Shira, who identified herself as a county resident, used the meeting’s visitor period to press the board to help resolve a local Republican women’s bank account and to support museum water connections. "My name is Robin Shira. I live at 311 East Washington in Elk Point. I just wanted to remind you, I haven't heard from Annie about, the Republican women's account, and I have checks pending that I need to deposit," she said, asking the board to act before the campaign season.
Shira told commissioners she and other volunteers campaign for local elected officials and asked for help reactivating the group’s account so they can deposit checks that she said were at risk of theft. She said the group had discussed legal help and that an attorney would be assigned to a related case, and she said she is coordinating on connecting city water to a local historic museum site.
The resident also noted a broader connection to state-level networks, saying the governor’s wife sits on a federation she attends and that she would escalate the request if the county could not address it. The board did not announce a specific follow-up at the meeting.
