Chair and commissioners reacted to staff estimates and described the combined state asks as “about $20,000,000,” with the chair noting aging county infrastructure requires urgent funding. Staff said public works will continue maintenance while the county seeks reconstruction funds; the board agreed to use the draft guide and staff summaries to communicate priorities to partners in Salem and with federal contacts.
