The Lawrenceburg Redevelopment Commission on Dec. 8 voted to provide $4,000 in annual support to the Indiana Small Business Development Center (ISBDC), approved prior meeting minutes and claims, and heard an update from Lawrenceburg Main Street.
During new business, a director recommended renewing the commission's $4,000 contribution to the ISBDC, which the commission approved by voice vote following a motion and second. The motion was initiated by an unnamed commissioner who stated "I'll make it," and the motion was seconded on the record; the transcript records a voice vote of "aye" and the presiding officer announced the motion carried. The transcript does not record a roll-call tally or list individual yes/no votes.
The commission also approved prior meeting minutes after a motion, second and voice vote; again, no roll-call tally was recorded in the transcript. Later in the meeting commissioners moved and approved the claims by voice vote.
In old business, Becca Lovern of Lawrenceburg Main Street spoke about the organization's grant program and said there were no grants in the pipeline for the rest of the year; she requested funding-availability numbers for reporting and was told the commission will provide those figures in January.
Public comment included Scott McClain, owner of Hammerling, who thanked the commission for persevering in pursuit of the tax-credit award.
The meeting adjourned after a motion and second and a voice vote.
