District construction staff provided a program status report that covered task orders for districtwide sales-tax construction projects, ADA sidewalks and parking-lot work, high-school auditoriums, chilled-water piping at Bridal Middle School, roofing projects, and the fine and performing arts facility at Crestview and Niceville. Several projects were described as ahead of schedule or nearing completion; staff noted weather-related delays on some sites and described expected milestone dates (for example, Crestview band-room work and parking phases tied to the fine/performing arts project).

During the construction segment the board asked clarifying questions about Phase 3 at a specific campus (backside work, bus ramp area, overlays versus full replacement) and staff said engineers are evaluating which sections need overlay or full replacement. The board was told GMPs for certain phases will be presented in upcoming months.

Under agenda item 10.2 the board approved owner-direct funding and purchase of a new chiller at Gruner Middle School (task order 27) to address HVAC needs in that building. The motion was moved by Mr. Guest and seconded by Mr. Bridal and recorded as passing 5-0.

Staff said the timeline and GMPs for several capital projects are planned to come to the board next year and noted completion windows that include early next year and the following summer for phased work.
