The Rockingham County Board of Commissioners voted Thursday to approve an accounts-payable list totaling $2,170,214.24 and later entered a nonpublic session that the board voted to seal indefinitely.
An unidentified commissioner moved to approve the accounts-payable list for Nov. 26, 2025, stating, "Total of $2,170,214.24." The motion was seconded and passed by the commissioners present.
During discussion before the vote, Chuck Nickerson clarified that the accounts-payable figure did not reflect subsequent stop-loss reimbursements, saying the county in a prior fiscal year "had over 3,200,000.0 in stop loss, reimbursements," and that the net October amount would be lower after those reimbursements.
Later the board moved into a nonpublic session citing a statutory RSA provision (spoken in the record as "RSA 93 a 91 a" / "91 a 93 a" and "Colon 3") and identified the subject as personnel/employee management. After returning from the nonpublic session, the board voted to keep the nonpublic items sealed "indefinitely" on the basis that releasing them "could have an effect on someone other than a member of this board." The motion to seal the minutes passed on the board's recorded responses.
Before adjourning, a member noted that Danielle Marshall of Service Credit Union is available to appear at a future meeting. Commissioners also exchanged brief informal remarks about the county's new building and nearby businesses.
The meeting concluded after a motion to adjourn passed. No further public actions were taken at the meeting.
