The city manager told the council that the City of Sweetwater received the Government Finance Officers Association’s Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the fiscal year ending Sept. 30, 2024 — the city’s 40th consecutive certificate.

The manager said an impartial national panel reviewed the city’s comprehensive annual financial report and recognized the finance team for clarity and transparency; he offered special congratulations to Kirsten and the finance staff.
