Shawnee — The Shawnee City Council on Dec. 8 approved appointments to the Planning Commission, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and the Downtown Partnership, and adopted an amended 2025 city budget, Communications Director Doug Donahue said.

The council approved the board appointments unanimously. The amended 2025 budget was adopted on an 8–0 vote, concluding adjustments to the city's fiscal plan for the year.
