At its Dec. 8 meeting the Octorara Area School District board approved a slate of vendor contracts, subscriptions and service quotes covering safety tools, finance software, benefits administration and infrastructure repairs.
Key approvals included a $19,753 quote to repair nonfunctioning flashers on Route 41; the presiding officer said the district will continue negotiations with West Fallowfield Township on a dated agreement for signage after completing the repair. The board also approved a purchase from Navigate360 for a behavioral threat-assessment platform and training bundle at $11,993.60 (inclusive of $400). Board members approved Frontline Education’s budget analytics subscription effective Jan. 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, at a total cost of $10,831.84 (including a $1,500.18 one-time startup fee).
Personnel and benefits items approved included benefits-administration services with Reschini Group and an agreement with Penn Medicine for employee assistance/work-life benefits at $20.50 per eligible employee per year, effective Nov. 1, 2025, through Oct. 31, 2026.
The board also approved a performance-based energy-savings agreement amended termination notice with McClure Company, an addendum with Valley Forge Educational Services for student services, and a cyber-charter and CTE enrollment agreement with Commonwealth Charter Academy for enrollment in Homeland Security and Protective Services coursework.
Each vendor agreement or quote was approved by motion and voice vote; board members asked a question regarding the Route 41 flashers and noted ongoing town-level negotiations about placekeeping and maintenance agreements.
The approvals reflect district investment in safety, analytics and staff support tools ahead of the 2026 fiscal year.
