The Mountain View Human Relations Committee convened Dec. 4 and completed routine business including approval of Nov. 6 minutes. The meeting included an oral update from the Civic Participation Ad Hoc Committee about an ongoing survey, a brief Know Your Rights Ad Hoc Committee update about planning for community events before the fiscal year ends, and an information-only presentation by the Rapid Response Network (see separate article).

Committee member Sylvester used the meeting to announce departure from the HRC after seven and a half years, reflecting on multi-year projects including neighborhood history of housing research and early safe-parking storytelling that helped secure county funding. Commissioners and staff thanked Sylvester for service.

No substantive actions or policy votes were taken on the ad hoc committee updates; the meeting adjourned to the committee's next regular meeting in February 2026.
