Clifford Banos, speaking for the Intertribal Council of Nevada, reported that ITCN plans to offer a 24-hour HAZWOPER course in Las Vegas in March 2026, with an 8-hour refresher also planned. He said the sessions are aimed at support personnel (natural-resources and public-works staff) rather than frontline responders and will include decontamination and PPE training.

Banos said a contract for the training has not been finalized but that organizers hope to issue a 'save the date' notice before Christmas. No fees were mentioned and logistical details remain under development.
