Hayden — At its Dec. 9 meeting, the Hayden City Council approved a package of routine land-use and administrative actions including preliminary-plat extensions, a final plat acceptance, a commission appointment and an arts-survey authorization.
Council approved one-year extensions of preliminary plat approvals for Mabry Estates, Sacred Meadows and Trail Ridge Estates. Planning staff told council the Mabry request stems from water-line rerouting coordinated with Hayden Lake Irrigation District, Sacred Meadows required more time after higher-than-expected bids, and Trail Ridge has progressed but remained short of the required milestone after five years.
The council also approved the final plat for Trail Creek Estates and accepted the associated public infrastructure subject to the four items listed in the staff memo.
In other business, the council appointed Jim Schroeder to the Veterans Commission for a term running through Dec. 31, 2028, approved a community arts survey to solicit public input with no direct financial impact to taxpayers, and accepted the canvassed results of the November election.
All motions on these items were approved by roll call. The council then moved to enter an executive session under Idaho Code citations listed on the agenda.
Next steps: staff will process required recording and infrastructure acceptance steps for the Trail Creek final plat, monitor conditions tied to the extensions, and publish the arts survey when ready.
