The Hillsborough County Planning Commission unanimously found consistent a publicly initiated Temple Terrace comprehensive plan text amendment on Dec. 8, recommending the change to align the city's capital improvement section with current state law.
Mariela Ovidorf, planning commission staff, presented TTC PA 25‑01 on behalf of Erica Larson, saying the amendment removes references to the 15‑year multimodal transportation program, the annual level‑of‑service report and the concurrency management report because those requirements are no longer mandated by state statute. The amendment adds a policy clarifying that the city may continue to use a 15‑year multimodal program for long‑range planning and coordination if it chooses.
Ovidorf said the planning commission received comments from Hillsborough County departments and Hillsborough County Public Schools; neither agency objected. There was no public comment recorded on this item.
Commissioner Lucas moved to find Temple Terrace CPA 25‑01 consistent with the Temple Terrace plan; a second was recorded and the commission signified agreement by voice; the motion carried unanimously. Staff recommended the change as written to keep the city plan aligned with current statutory requirements.
