Parks Director Nathan Olya said the selection of Musco lighting was driven by operational consistency and centralized control of field lighting systems.

Council members sought assurances about price comparisons and local vendor outreach. Parks and public‑works staff said Sourcewell pricing is based on a prior competitive solicitation, that staff would follow up with more detailed price comparisons and that the City routinely notifies local vendors about opportunities. The council moved and approved items B‑9 and B‑10 unanimously.
