District staff and the construction manager reported that the middle school construction project is progressing on schedule and meeting quality-control expectations.

The presentation said the construction team had been on-site for 126 days and completed foundation block work in Area 500, underground plumbing in Area 100 and geothermal well fields in Areas E and F, along with slab pours and concrete masonry unit foundations. A live camera of the construction site is now active and viewing instructions will be provided to board members; a pre-holiday site tour date will be scheduled.

Construction manager Jeffrey Turnage and a representative from the contractor (David from Beckcon) were present in the audience for the update. District staff said a comprehensive overview from Beckcon will be provided at the January meeting.
