Linn County commissioners approved routine financial and administrative business on Nov. 24, 2025, including payment of claims, county employee longevity pay and issuance of a county clerk credit card.
A motion to approve minutes from the Nov. 10 meeting was approved, followed by approval of claims for the period beginning Nov. 14 totaling $687,158.85 and a separate motion to approve claims for the week of Nov. 24 totaling $213,739.99. The commission also approved ads and abates totaling $265.38 after brief clarification on tax-year numbering.
Commissioners approved longevity pay for county employees in the amount of $17,525 and voted to authorize a county credit card for County Clerk Chastity with a $30,000 credit limit. Each of these items was carried by motion, second and voice vote; no roll-call tallies were recorded in the transcript.
Commissioners discussed a tax-statement error affecting a veil levy for Prairie View that required correction; staff said corrected statements will be issued after Dec. 1. The meeting closed with multiple short executive sessions and an adjournment motion.
