Airport manager Bob updated the board on operations and maintenance at the start of the meeting.
On funding, he said the UDOT Aeronautics electrification grant application (about $2,000,000) is still under review and will proceed to the next step. "There's a total of $2,000,000 up for up for that grant for the electrification," he said.
On equipment, Bob said the earlier plan to rebuild the snowblower fell through but a local shop offered a simpler repair (weld and machine a new tooth) and the airport is evaluating whether to repair the current machine or buy a replacement. He also reported that part of the SRE (snow removal equipment) delivery should occur this month but the side plow is delayed.
On maintenance, Bob described fence repairs where gates were sagging and overlaps with culvert openings that allowed wildlife ingress; staff filled holes, drilled bolt connections and re-secured posts. The manager closed with a brief personnel note.
What's next: Staff will continue follow-up on the UDOT grant and report equipment delivery timelines and repair costs at the next meeting.
