EUGENE — At its Dec. 3 meeting the Eugene Budget Committee approved minutes from its May 28 session, elected leadership for the committee, and announced the schedule for public testimony and council action on the December supplemental budget.

The committee approved the May 28 minutes after a motion and second; the chair conducted a voice and raise‑hand vote and declared the minutes approved (the transcript does not record an individual roll‑call tally).

Later in the meeting, Councilor Yeh nominated Commissioner Kanofsky for committee chair; the nomination was seconded and the committee approved the nomination by voice/hand vote. Ryan Moore nominated Shavon Kinsale for vice chair; that nomination was accepted and approved in the same manner. The transcript does not record individual vote counts.

Chair reminded members and the public that supplemental budget materials will be posted online Friday, Dec. 5, and that a public hearing and council action will occur Monday, Dec. 8 at 7:30 p.m. Committee members were told to direct further questions to the city budget manager, Christina, who will distribute the council packet and materials.
