School committee approves two $500 mini grants and routine minutes and transfers

The Nantucket School Committee approved several routine items during its meeting.

Motions approved by voice vote included a $500 mini grant from Cape Cod 5 to Nantucket Elementary School for a Taylor Fashion project and a second $500 mini grant to NES for Jocelyn Ramirez. The committee also moved, seconded and approved the Nov. 12 meeting minutes and approved transfers and invoices.

A committee member raised a late addition: an overnight field-trip permission form for an annual music festival that arrived over vacation. The chair stated it would not be voted on that night because it was not on the agenda; committee members were invited to review and ask questions at the next meeting.
