Following the study session, the Kyrene Elementary District board convened its regular meeting. Roll call recorded five members present (Cedric Collins, Bunny Davis, Amy Cetri, Trina Nelson and Kevin Walsh). The board approved the meeting agenda on a motion by Vice President Trina Nelson, seconded by Member Bunny Davis, by a 5–0 voice vote.

The consent agenda was also approved 5–0. The board concluded the public meeting at 8:41 p.m.

Separately during the study session the board gave staff direction — not a formal vote — to prepare three map scenarios (the current plan and two alternatives) and to apply objective criteria for ranking the elementary schools that are candidates for removal from the closure list. Those deliverables will be brought back to the board and public in a study session prior to the Dec. 16 meeting.
