The Boynton Beach City Commission unanimously approved a major site‑plan modification Tuesday that clears the way for a new 32,000‑square‑foot warehouse on the southern parcel of the Feeding South Florida campus in Quantum Park.
Architect Steve Knight of Alexis Knight Architects presented the proposal, saying the new building (a 25,000‑square‑foot footprint) will provide dry, cold and freezer storage and support expanded food distribution for the region. The project also includes required parking, landscaping and truck dock accommodations; staff noted the two parcels will be joined via a recorded unity of title.
Knight said the design will mimic architectural elements of the existing facility and accommodate concealed pull‑ups for truck loading. Staff recommended approval and the commission completed required ex parte disclosures before the vote.
“The addition of this 32,000 square feet will help them provide an extremely valuable service to the community,” Knight said during the presentation.
A roll‑call vote recorded unanimous approval; staff will implement conditions of site‑plan approval and record the unity of title as required by the development agreement.
Next steps: building‑permit review and construction set‑up in accordance with approved site‑plan conditions.
