Council members used the floor to thank outgoing councilor Anthony Panzera for 24 years of service and noted his role in major projects including Grandview Yard and the new city hall. Panzera gave an extended farewell speech that traced his immigrant family background, long public service and the fiscal and infrastructure work he helped lead.

Following the remarks, council moved to elect a president pro tem for the incoming council and nominated Denise Walker; the nomination was seconded and approved by voice vote. In other business, council approved using remaining community grant funds'$1,500'to support Heart to Heart Food Pantry.

Panzera asked to be excused after his remarks and council members expressed appreciation for his institutional knowledge and leadership.
