Village manager Juliana Malo told trustees that the budget was completed on Nov. 20, would be posted for public viewing the next day and would appear on the Dec. 4 agenda for final approval.

During trustee reports, Trustee Kunkel highlighted recent community events. Trustee Alba raised concerns about a budgeting line for the SRT (Special Response Team), saying the proposed purchase "could be potentially problematic based on current political situation" and urging the board to retain flexibility so that personnel would not be placed at increased risk. The transcript records that Chief Johnson is hesitant to reopen the procurement because of the process involved.

A board member also described a new joint venture with the Cook County Economic Development Association (CETA) and DuPage County to provide weatherization services beyond Cook County, listing services such as insulation, storm windows and furnace repair or replacement. Trustees were encouraged to direct residents to DuPage County for information on weatherization services now being offered through the CETA partnership.
