The Planning Commission approved the final plat for the Battery Park planned unit development (PUD) at its Nov. 25 meeting, concluding the PUD’s final technical review and clearing the way for the next administrative steps before construction.

Staff said the final plat follows the approved preliminary plan and meets major-subdivision requirements. The civil engineering drawings have been stamped by the city engineer and staff recommended approval subject to obtaining all applicable permits and executing a construction agreement, which must be signed by the City Commission before any civil-construction work begins.

Austin Coby of Marus Development Group spoke for the applicant, noting that the final-plat request follows last month’s conditional PUD approval and requests creation of 11 sub-lots that will accommodate the planned building footprints. A motion to approve the final plat subject to staff conditions passed on a roll call; staff will circulate the construction agreement with the law department and proceed toward City Commission action as required.
