At the end of the Nov. 20 meeting the Santa Clara County Planning Commission paused formal business to recognize planning commission clerk Peggy on the occasion of her retirement. County counsel, department directors and commissioners praised Peggy’s service, professionalism and mentorship to staff and new commissioners. Deputy Director Lisa Mikhail, Principal Planner Rob Salisbury and multiple commissioners offered personal remarks and thanked her for years of reliable service; the clerk’s last official day on the county roster was stated as Dec. 26, 2025. Commissioners announced a gift and informal reception in her honor.
