The Lapeer City Downtown Development Authority moved and approved a recommendation that the city commission reappoint three incumbents whose terms expire at year-end.

The chair identified the three expiring seats, naming Buddy Byer and Gerard among them and noting the chair’s own term also expires. A motion by Tim recommended reappointing the expiring incumbents; the motion was supported and carried by voice vote.

No objections were recorded during the meeting and the board instructed staff to forward the recommendation to the city commission for formal reappointment by that body.

Next steps: staff will transmit the board’s recommendation to the city commission for formal action on the appointments.
