Bill Reynolds, city administrator, presented the winners of the city’s annual Show Off Shakopee photo contest and announced a $100 grand‑prize winner.

The city communications team invited community members to submit photographs taken in Shakopee over the previous two years, selected finalists, and posted them in city buildings for staff voting. Reynolds said more than 110 votes were cast. “We really appreciate it,” he said, thanking participants and inviting winners forward for photographs.

Winners included Christopher Straub (Uniquely Shakopee category), Kathleen Borka (Golden Hour category), Luciana Gilson (Budding Photographer winner) and Jane Velde, the grand‑prize winner for a fireworks photo likely taken at Huber Park. Reynolds noted staff and communications manage the contest and present awards annually.

The presentation concluded with a group photo of winners and council thanks for the community participation. No council action was required; the presentation was informational.
