Sedgwick County staff told commissioners they will place several routine consent items on the upcoming Nov. 19 agenda, including a $300,000 transfer to support the Charlotte Pipe infrastructure project.

Brent, representing the County's economic development program, said the $300,000 comes from the economic development portion of the general fund and is the County’s share of a 25% match for a KDOT grant. Brent described the overall project as largely infrastructure — a left‑turn lane on a road and a rail improvement — and said the total project cost was about $2.1 million shared among project partners including Mays and Watco.

Other consent items previewed included a $77,670 line item for the weekly Ridge Road project and a change to the intersection control at Pawnee and 135th Street West (from a two‑way stop to a four‑way stop), which staff said carries no fiscal impact.

Why it matters: the $300,000 transfer is a direct county contribution to a regional transportation project and will be listed on the consent agenda; commissioners had few substantive questions but sought a location clarification for the stop‑control change.
