Lake Elmo council approves consent agenda, including temporary liquor license for Rotary

The City of Lake Elmo City Council on Aug. 19 approved the meeting agenda, minutes from Aug. 6 and a consent agenda that included a temporary liquor license enabling the Lake Elmo Rotary to serve alcoholic beverages at the citys centennial celebration.

Councilmember Drasich moved to approve the agenda, and the motion passed by voice vote. Councilmember Drasich later moved to approve the minutes of the Aug. 6, 2025, council meeting; that motion also carried by voice vote.

Presiding official (not named in the record) read the consent agenda, which listed payments and disbursements; trash hauler hours (removed from the consent agenda); a temporary liquor license for the Lake Elmo Rotary; pay request 2 for 2025 street and utility improvements; Gardner School security reduction; acceptance of bids and award of contract for 2025 crack sealing; a 2025 Safe Built contract amendment; and approval of a stargazing event. Because publication ordinances require a four-fifths vote, the council removed publication ordinance 2025-13 from the consent agenda before voting.

The temporary liquor license passed as part of the consent agenda, enabling the Lake Elmo Rotary to operate a beer trailer at the centennial event.
