The commission granted a conditional use permit under Resolution Z-25-05 to allow an accessory building with sleeping space and plumbing at Pomona Lake; the applicant had HOA approval and a 2020 septic system, and commissioners recorded the motion and carried the vote.
The Osage County Commission approved Resolution Z-25-05 on Nov. 12, granting a conditional use permit (CUP) for an accessory dwelling unit on property in the Royal Heights Estates area near Pomona Lake.
Applicant Tricia Webb described plans for a metal-sided accessory building featuring two bedrooms, a bathroom and a small living area attached to a garage for boat and equipment storage. Webb said the HOA had approved the design and that the property’s septic system was new in 2020.
County staff and commissioners clarified that because the structure is accessory and will not include a full kitchen or otherwise be treated as a separate primary residence, the CUP was the appropriate permit. Commissioners noted HOA approval and the absence of nearby sanitary sewer connections on the south side of the lake.
Presiding commissioner moved to approve Resolution Z-25-05 granting the CUP; the motion was seconded and carried in open session.
