Board prioritizes debrushing work, reviews budget and schedules executive session

Surveyor staff told the Delaware County Drainage Board they are preparing a prioritized deep‑debrushing list and will provide photos, maps and footage figures to board members before the next meeting so the board can select maintenance projects.

The surveyor recommended bidding multiple ditches in January to obtain better prices and identified frequent problem sites including Country Village and the Hyatt Ditch. The board asked staff to distribute the prioritized list and photographs as soon as they are available; members said they will move forward in December with selections from that list.

A staff member reviewed the year‑to‑date revenue and expense status and reported $287,000 spent so far with another $41,000 this month (the Racer Ditch was singled out). Board members discussed funding limitations for additional projects.

Toward the end of the meeting, members agreed to schedule an executive session after the December drainage board meeting and asked staff to post any required public notice and to prepare any materials needed for that session. The board did not take additional public action during the executive session scheduling discussion.
