The Delaware County Land Reutilization Corporation on Nov. 12 approved its 2026 budget and cleared routine administrative business.
Chair Jeff Benton opened the meeting and the board voted to approve the electronic minutes from July 28 and payment of legal invoices for counsel Scott Gordon. The board authorized the clerk to order new checks up to $135, and approved the treasurer's report. Benton reported a checking-account balance of $23,379.77 and said the STAR Ohio account holds about $254,000 and should earn roughly $8,000–$10,000 in interest next year.
The Land Bank’s proposed 2026 budget, presented by Benton, was described as largely consistent with 2025. The biennial draft reflects two sizable grant lines: demolition grant funding the county expects to receive at $200,000, and $1,000,000 available through the brownfield program. Benton also noted an estimated $80,000 in delinquent-tax revenue and a proposed $50,000 allocation for CEC consulting services in the next fiscal year.
Board members raised no substantive objections to the budget's structure and voted to adopt the 2026 appropriation at the meeting. Benton said staff can amend the budget later if additional grant funding or projects emerge.
The board adjourned after approving the items on the agenda.
