Carol Sandersfelt, a resident who said she travels County Road 190 often, told the Franklin County Board of Supervisors that drivers coming off the interstate are treating the four‑way stop at Grouse Avenue as if they were still on the highway.

"This was my third near death experience," Sandersfelt said, describing a night‑time incident about 5:30 p.m. when a white utility van crossed the intersection at "65, 70 miles an hour." She urged the board to consider adding a flashing red light for westbound traffic or replacing wooden signposts with metal posts and high‑visibility reflectors to slow drivers who may be distracted or speeding.

Board members said they would raise the concern with county staff at an upcoming meeting with county engineer/staff (Jay) and examine options. The board noted existing rumble strips on approaches and cautioned that state regulations may limit some traffic‑control installations, but several supervisors said upgraded signposts or a westbound flashing light would be considered.

The exchange concluded with staff agreeing to report back after talking with highway staff. No formal action or funding allocation was adopted at the meeting.
