District instructional staff told trustees Boerne ISD earned a 92 final TEA accountability score (an A) in 2025, with 8 campuses rated A and 5 rated B. The district highlighted a 96% CCMR goal, distinctions earned and plans for accelerated instruction and leadership development.
Boerne Independent School District received a 92 (A) in the 2025 TEA accountability ratings, officials told the board Aug. 18. Larissa Flores, director of instruction, walked trustees through how TEA calculates the three domains — student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps — and said Boerne’s combined score rounded to 92 for 2025.
Flores said district high-school CCMR (college, career and military readiness) contributed strongly to the score; the district reported the five-year trend and an official graduation rate of 99.4% for the cohort used in the rating. She said Boerne ISD had eight campuses earn an A and five campuses earn a B in the 2025 cycle and noted the district is among a small group of districts statewide to have six consecutive A ratings.
The instruction team outlined priorities for 2025–26 including targeted accelerated instruction for students not yet successful on STAAR, sustaining performance for students at meets and masters levels, and monitoring K–2 growth in reading and math. The administration also shared strategic-plan SMART goals that put student success, talent, fiscal responsibility and engagement as the plan’s pillars.
Trustees asked about comparisons with neighboring districts and the TELPAS (English learner proficiency) gains; Flores said she would add comparative data to next month’s bilingual report. The superintendent also noted district efforts to expand pre-K eligibility under House Bill 2 and to expand dual-credit and AP programs that saved families nearly $2 million in college costs last year.
