The Village of Jackson board on Nov. 11 approved multiple financial items tied to the 2024 wastewater treatment plant tertiary filters and UV disinfection project.

Budget & Finance presented change order #2 showing a decrease of $8,470.66; the board approved the final change order. The board then approved pay request #18 to JH Hassinger for $28,036.59 and pay request #19 (final) to JH Hassinger for $230,930.58 after clarification of the request number. The board also approved reimbursement request #15 for $296,155.05 to be submitted for the Clean Water Fund loan tied to the project.

The items were presented as coming from the Board of Public Works and the Budget and Finance Committee with recommendations to approve. Motions were made, seconded and carried on voice votes.

Officials did not raise further substantive questions about the construction work during the payment approvals; one trustee noted a numbering discrepancy in the pay-request paperwork, which staff corrected during the meeting. The approvals complete the final payment and loan-reimbursement steps for this phase of the 2024 WWTP upgrade.
