Lemont board approves consent agenda, releases bond and grants a liquor license to Kings on Canal

At the Nov. 10 meeting the Lemont Village Board approved a consent agenda that included minutes, November disbursements and several ordinances and a resolution. Items on the consent agenda included:

- Ordinance O-53-25: approving a plat of dedication for Gordon Lane (132nd Street). - Amendment actions described as O-41-25 and O-54-25: code updates implementing a municipal grocery retailer/service occupation tax in Lemont. - Resolution R-82-25: authorizing release of a subdivision site improvement bond for Marble Landing (Beechin' and Dill project).

Each consent item was approved on a motion by Trustee Snagowski, seconded by Trustee Kittridge, with roll-call votes recorded.

Separately, the clerk presented Ordinance O-55-25 to amend Chapter 5.04 to issue a Class A-3 liquor license to On Canal LLC doing business as Kings on Canal. After roll call the board approved the license.

Why it matters: The consent agenda advances routine administrative and development matters; the liquor license authorizes on-site alcohol sales for a named business, which triggers local regulatory and community oversight processes.

What’s next: License and ordinance documents will be filed and published per village procedures; developers and business owners proceed with any permits or inspections required by planning, building and outside agencies.
