The Lubbock ISD Board of Trustees voted to hire Carol Evans as the district’s new director of procurement following an executive closed session.

Carol Evans addressed the board after the vote, saying she was “genuinely honored and humbled to accept the role of director.” Evans said she will measure decisions against the district’s standard “every child, every day,” and that she intends to “increase our level of customer service and responsiveness,” collaborate with principals and department heads, and “break down barriers” to align procurement strategies with district goals.
