The El Segundo Police Department and the El Segundo Fire Department announced local collection plans for two holiday toy drives.

Toys for Tots will accept new, unwrapped toys from Nov. 5 through Dec. 10 at two locations: the El Segundo Police Department lobby (Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and the Mattel headquarters holiday tent at 1955 East Grand Avenue (Thursday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.). The Spark of Love toy drive, run with the help of the El Segundo Fire Department, will accept new, unwrapped toys or sports equipment at Fire Station 1 on weekdays from Nov. 17 through Dec. 19 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The donations will be distributed to underserved children and teens in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange, Ventura and Riverside counties. Organizations interested in receiving toys were instructed to email sparkoflove@elsagundo.org.

The segment said that Spark of Love has collected and distributed nearly 11,000,000 toys over the years.
