The License Committee convened at about 7:10 p.m. and approved two class-2 license renewals on Nov. 4, 2025.

The committee approved a renewal for Cartown USA Inc., located at 680 Washington St., listing nine customer parking spaces and 20 display spaces on the application record. Committee members said everything "checked out" and voted to approve the renewal.

The committee also approved a class-2 license renewal for Joe and Mary Inc., doing business as Gas Plus at 80 Pleasant St., listing 10 customer parking spaces and 24 display spaces. The committee chair said the business' inventory had slowed earlier in the year but had returned to an acceptable level and recommended approval.

A third renewal was held pending completion of a customer-related issue and to clarify ownership matters. The chair said the person who spoke at a previous meeting was a relative of the current owner and that the committee was working with state authorities and council leadership to resolve outstanding concerns; the committee deferred final action until those matters are resolved.

The committee adjourned at about 7:12 p.m.
