The California Financing Coordinating Committee opened its Fall Funding Fair with a live demonstration of the CFCC website and handbook, and instructions for using breakout rooms and the funding inquiry form. Suresh Hartwell, who identified himself as with the State Water Resources Control Board, invited attendees to complete a poll and evaluation and explained that slide decks and recordings would be posted on the CFCC site.
Gabriel Edwards of the Department of Water Resources demonstrated the CFCC handbook, showing a table of participating agencies and links to active funding opportunities, contact information and QR codes. Edwards noted that most presentations and materials would be uploaded to the CFCC site within a week or two and pointed attendees to a funding inquiry form (to be emailed to IBANK@IBANK.CA.GOV) that participating agencies use to match projects with funding programs.
Organizers emphasized that breakout rooms would open after the presentations to allow attendees to speak directly with agency representatives. They also advised attendees that Zoom security settings limit copying chat and that some attendees may not have registered via the CFCC system, so contact information may not be available to presenters.
The CFCC website, handbook and the recording of the fair are the primary sources organizers asked attendees to use to find program guidance, deadlines and contact points; staff encouraged participants to save the handbook and to return to the site for updates.
