The Alamogordo City Commission on Oct. 28 voted 7-0 to support a state application for a small brewer liquor license with on‑premises consumption and patio service for New Mexico Pomegranate LLC (doing business as Pymo bistro and hotel) at 923 New York Ave.

Applicant Dan Moizy described renovation work on the historic corner property (built circa 1902), said the building's structural issues had been addressed and outlined an interior build‑out that is underway. When asked about an opening date he said early 2026 was the target, with framing, rough plumbing and electric work in progress.

Commissioners expressed appreciation for the investment in downtown historic preservation and voted to approve the city's action recommending issuance of the license to the Alcoholic Beverage Control Division.
