Trustees unanimously approved the consent agenda at the Oct. 27 Natrona County School District #1 board meeting and accepted several donations and bids noted in the consent materials.
The board accepted a substantial equipment donation from Planet Fitness valued at $49,500. According to the presentation, the equipment includes 12 treadmills, 12 elliptical machines and three ARC trainers to be allocated among Kelly Walsh High School, Natrona County High School, Roosevelt, Midwest and Centennial (and Casper Classical was listed among recipients). Other donations accepted included $500 from Williams Porter Day & Neville PC to support an NCHS MTSS "Just Show Up" program; $1,000 from Wyoming Still and Recycling for the NCHS tennis team; and smaller gifts to support athletics, debate and Science Olympiad teams.
District staff also noted three procurement bids (refrigerator truck, driver’s ed vehicles and a CNC routing system for woodworking) on the consent agenda and routine personnel and finance items. Trustees approved major maintenance projects later in the meeting; staff explained some maintenance funds and requests remain active for Woods and Barnum while they are still operating.
No trustee opposed the consent agenda or donation approvals.
