At its regular meeting, the Township of Ocean School District Board of Education approved routine minutes, personnel and budget items, an instruction and student-activities package, and the final reading and revision of district policies listed under agenda item 9.1. All items were approved by roll call and the chair announced that motions carried.

The board approved the executive session minutes under item 5.1. A motion to approve was made and seconded and the board conducted a roll-call vote; the presiding officer announced that the motion carried. Items 6.1 through 6.10 (personnel matters), previously discussed in executive session, were moved as a block and approved by roll call. The meeting record notes the items were moved “because [a board member] is not here tonight” (as introduced on the floor) and were then carried by vote.

Financial and resource items listed under agenda items 7.1 through 7.12 were moved and seconded and approved by roll call. The board also approved instruction- and student-activities items 8.1 through 8.5. The roll call for the instruction package recorded an abstention on one subitem (identified in the roll call as “08/2001 October 7”); the remaining items carried.

Finally, the board approved the final reading and revision of the policies listed in item 9.1 by roll call. In each case the presiding officer asked for the roll call and then stated that the motions carried following the recorded votes.

No public commenters addressed these agenda items during the public-comment period. Meeting minutes and the official roll-call records posted by the district will contain the complete vote tallies and the formal motions as recorded in the official minutes.
