The Michigan House Agriculture Committee voted to refer two pieces of legislation to the House Rules Committee on a pair of unanimous roll-call votes.

At the start of the meeting, Representative Piavo moved to refer House Bill 4881 to the House Rules Committee. The committee clerk conducted a roll call and later announced, "Mister chair, you have 10 a, 0 nay, 0 pass. The motion prevails." House Bill 4881 was reported as recommended and referred to Rules.

The committee then took up House Bill 4882. Representative Skaggs moved to report that bill to the House Rules Committee. After a roll call, the clerk again announced, "Mister chair, you have 10 a, 0 n a, 0 pass. The motion prevails." House Bill 4882 was reported out to Rules.

The clerk also read two written statements in support of House Bill 4882. The record noted support from a contributor identified as Jarrett (Mackinac Center) and from Tim Golding and Sonny Koch of Americans for Prosperity Michigan. No members recorded a negative vote on either referral.

No further action on the bills occurred during the meeting; both measures were referred to the House Rules Committee for additional consideration.
